Our story

Familiar warmth. A clearer way forward.

For more than 15 years, EnglishWorkshop brought students and families together in Chonburi.

The stories, activities and shared discoveries are part of what we are bringing back. So is the pleasure of seeing children find something they want to say.

The new EWS gives that experience a clearer structure: learn useful English, share it with others, then use it in a new situation.

Teacher Andy and Teacher Shiela are working with experienced Thai colleagues and local professionals to prepare the new EWS.

The new EWS approach

When children take part, English has a purpose.

English becomes useful when children need it for something. Learn the language, practise together, then use it independently.

Learn useful words, sentence patterns and pronunciation through stories, games and guided practice.

The EWS café challenge

Make a menu. Take an order. Work out what to say when something changes.

Learn it.

Learn food words and practise “Can I have…?” by choosing items for a simple menu.

Share it.

Take turns as customer and server. Ask for an item, listen to the order and check you understood.

Use it.

A favourite item has sold out. Can the customer choose something else? Can the server offer an alternative?

The learning to look for: listening, responding and adapting. The task, language and support are adjusted to age and level.

Enjoy learning. Build confidence. Use English.

We have a building for the next EWS.

We have a building in Chonburi and are planning the classrooms and shared spaces. The exact address and opening date will be announced when confirmed.
